Yesterday Wenlong Zhou give China a winning start at Adidas China Masters 2013
Wenlong Zhou moved confidently through the men's singles qualifying rounds into the main draw on day one of the Adidas China Masters 2013 at the Olympic Sports Center Xincheng Gymnasium  . World No 251 took his opening qualifying match with a good win over his compatriot Junwei Liao 21-14 21-11 to book a second-round clash with World No 26 Dionysius Hayom RUMBAKA. Earlier in the day unseeded   Wenlong Zhou overcame  RUMBAKA  21-19 19-21 21-10 in a match lasted 62 minutes. Men's doubles  Kaixiang Huang and Si Wei Zheng produced China's second win of the two  day when they defeated Phillip Chew and Sattawat Pongnairat 21-11 21-10 in just 20 minutes.
Men's doubles Chia Pin Lu  and Chih Hao Wang - Chinese Taipei reached second round when they defeated    seventh seeds  Malaysia's  Mohd Zakry Abdul Latif  and Moh Fairuzizuan Mohd Tazari 21-17 21-19.
But there was disappointment for Nichaon Jindapon  -  she  went out in the first round, beaten by  7th  seed Minatsu Mitani 21-15 21-13 . Nichaon Jindapon only previos meeting with Minatsu Mitani ended in a two game defeat at the  VICTOR Korea Open 2013  quarter-finals .
Seeded No5  Kenichi Tago produced a confident display to defeat China'sTianyu Gao  21-17 21-14  on the first round  in Guangzhou today.
Denmark's Jan O Jorgensen seed No 6 secure a comfortable 21-17  21-15 win over his local rival Houwei Tian.
Long Chen [1] start his title bid against India’s Anand Pawar but his concerns come later in the draw with Kenichi Tago [5] , Boonsak Ponsana [3] , the third seed, his possible quarter-final and semi-final opponents .Tommy Sugiarto [4] ,Jan O Jorgensen [6],Zhengming Wang [7] are the seeds in Pengyu Du [2] half, so Long Chen would avoid the Chinese No 3 WANG Zhengming until the final , but Anand Pawar received a walkover from top seed  and men's singles No2 CHEN Long in the first round!
Thailand's Natcha Saengchote- Sarita Suwannakitborihan had the difficult task of taking on Yuriko Miki and Koharu Yonemoto  of   Japan  in the women’s doubles.  Miki and  Yonemoto  proved too much for the Thailand  pairing as they were comprehensively beaten 21-7, 21-12.
In the afternoon unseeded Dong Keun Lee overcame Boonsak Ponsana 21-11 21-19 in a  match that lasted  46 minutes.  In the first  game it was level pegging up to 3-3 however Dong Keun Lee  took control and managed to place a winning margin of 21-11. The following  part completely belonged to  Dong Keun Lee,who   led 10-5  before  World No4  hit back to level 9-9 ,but the player from Korea  finished first half 11:10. After the one minute interval he did not lose focus  and it was the end of the road for seed No3.
Also meeting his end in the competition was men's singles seeded No4 Tommy Sugiarto. He was  beaten 17-21 14-21 by unseeded  Kento Momota . It was the first meeting between the two players with  Tommy Sugiarto ranked 29 places higher than former World Junior Champion 2012  at No 6. The  Japanese  player  controlled the first game but had to come from 12-9  down in the second, winning eight  points in a row to lead 18-12  and continued his power play and easily grabbed the second set a big margin of 21-14.

World No 3 let slip a golden opportunity to win the  Adidas China Masters 2013!!!


Seeded  No2 hopeful Pengyu Du met his  match in the men' singles first round .He was beaten by unseeded Kazumasa Sakai  21-13 21-15.World No 3 let slip a golden opportunity to win the  Adidas China Masters 2013.Kazumasa Sakai only previos meeting with Pengyu Du  ended in a two game defeat at the Badminton Asia Championships 2011  second round - 7-21 21-23. In the first  game it was level pegging up to 3-3  but   the Japanese player  took totally  control and managed to place a winning margin of 21-13.The ending  part  entirely belonged   to  Sakai,who at any stage in the concluding part remained succesful maintaining gap and easily grabbed  the second game and match.
In the first match of the day seeds No2  in the draw Jin Ma  - Jinhua Tang secured a confortable 21-6 21-18 win over New Zealand's  Anna Rankin and  Madeleine Stapleton in just  21 minutes.
Unseeded  Biao Chai  - Wei Hong produced   second win of the   second  day  when they defeated  seeds  third Ki Jung Kim  andSa Rang Kim   14-21 23-21 24-22 in the longest match so far. They now hold a 2-0 win record against their rivals ,having beaten Ki Jung Kim and  Sa Rang Kim at the YONEX German Open 2013.
Yesterday's surprise Wenlong Zhou,who  moved confidently through the men's singles qualifying rounds into the main draw continued his power play and overcame a mid match slump to record a hard-fought 21-15 10-21 21-13 win over Dong Keun Lee of Korea.In a battle,which lasted for an hour and two minutes,the Chinese player won the third game after trailing initially.

Biao Chai         and       Wei Hong continue  of semi-finals

Unseeded  Biao Chai  - Wei Hong, which produced   second win of the   second  day  when they defeated  seeds  third Ki Jung Kim  andSa Rang Kim   continue of the semi-finals. The Chinese pair edged Indonesian's Gideon Markus Fernaldi  and  Markis Kido  21-17 21-16 in just over 34 minutes. After winning the opening point of the first  game, the Indonesians  were never ahead again and the first game ended  with a  well  gap. Second game  again after winning the opening point, the Indonesians  were never ahead  and the campaign ended.
Wenlong Zhou,who  moved confidently through the men's singles qualifying rounds into the main draw and got the better over  Junwei Liao , Dionysius Hayom Rumbaka and Dong Keun Leecrashed out of the quarter -  finals. He was beaten 21-14  21-11 by
other qualifier  Wan Ho Son .Wan Ho Son had only one meeting with Wenlong Zhou ended a two game  defeat at the Li Ning China Masters 2011 first round.
Jan O Jorgensen controlled the first game but had to come from 9-7  down , winning four  points in a row to lead 11-9  before taking the contest on their first match point.
In second part Kento Momota hit back,however had  to come from 8-4 down and then recover to lead 11-9 and  15-10 , after four consecutive points . After winning the opening first  and second  point of the concluding  game, Kento Momota was never ahead again. Seeded No6  began to apply the pressure as he moved into an 10-2   lead. The gap gradually widened  at 15-3. However, Momota  produced a late three-point burst before  Jan O Jorgensen  won the next six points to claim victory -
21-17 17-21 21-6.
Sho Sasaki overcame his compatriot Kenichi Tago fifth seed 21-18 21-8 in a match that lasted 39 minutes. Kenichi Tago took a fluctuating opening game and  lose the first four  points then recover to lead 10-9 .Sho Sasaki  kept pace with him up to 15-15  to move ahead by converting his first game point. The second  game looked a formality for unseeded Sasaki,who lost  just eight points. He  was always in control in the ending  part   and  winning five  points in a row to lead 5-2,over and over again consecutive points and win the  match.Kenichi TAGO now holds a 2-1 win record against his team-mate in ranking events and  for the last time  at Odense Sports Park in the DENMARK SUPER SERIES 2010.

Porntip  survived  against  World No1 !!!

It was the end of the road for unseeded Biao Chai and Wei Hong  in the men's doubles
competition . They suffered a 21-14 18-21 13-21 to Hiroyuki Endo  &  Kenichi Hayakawa in their semi-final tie. It was the second meeting between Japanese players (and second success)  and their local rivals ,which produced three wins in the firsts two day at the Adidas China Masters 2013 over Ki Jung Kim  - Sa Rang Kim , Jiting He - Peng Wang and Gideon Markus Fernaldi-  Markis Kido. The last  meeting were at the YONEX German Open 2013 .
Also meeting their end in the competition were the pairing of  Xiaolong Liu-Zihan Qiu in the men's doubles competition .They were beaten 21-13 21-12 by top seeds Sung Hyun Ko  - Yong Dae Lee in match that lasted 33 minutes . Sung Hyun Ko  - Yong Dae Lee led 3-0 in the opener before Xiaolong Liu-Zihan Qiu  hit back to lead 4-3. Until the end first part  top seeds controlled results  at any stage and finished a huge margin . In the second game it was level pegging up to 10-10  before Sung Hyun Ko  - Yong Dae Lee  took control to ease away for victory.
Porntip Buranaprasertsuk survived a big scare against top seed  Xuerui Li. Unseeded  World No18 had to stretch herself fully to overcome the stiff challenge from her local favorite before registering a 16-21 21-15 20-22 win in nearly an hour .Porntip Buranaprasertsuk controlled the first game but had to come from 10-9 down , winning four  points in a row to lead 13-10 .In the concluding part of opener Porntip Buranaprasertsuk lead 17-16 , she added few succesful points and pulled first game. In the second game it was level pegging up to 10-10  before World No1  took control and won six consecutive points to lead 15-10 so that  easily close  the second part . Porntip Buranaprasertsuk led 6-4  in the decider  before Xuerui Li  hit back to lead 14-11 ,but  World No 18 kept pace with her  for the rest of the game to move ahead by converting her second  game point.

Yesterday  survive - today let slip gold


In the local derby  top seeds Xiaoli Wang and Yang (F) Yu secured 21-17 21-16 win over Jin Ma -Jinhua Tang in their opening match . Jin Ma &Jinhua Tang had never a game of the their  team-mate in four meetings , having faced most recently of ISTORA GELORA BUNG KARNO STADIUM at the Djarum Indonesia Open 2013 semi-finals.
         In the second  match of the day Sung Hyun Ko &Yong Dae Lee  took title with a tortured  25-23 21-19 victory over Hiroyuki Endo  & Kenichi Hayakawa in a final lasting 59 minutes. It was the third meeting between two pairs .World No1 now hold 2-0 record against their competitors,having beaten  Endo  -  Hayakawa at the Li Ning China Open last year semi-finals.
Blighted hopes had in women's singles final match. Xin (F) Liu  also look jaded in the middle stages her final match up against Thai star Porntip Buranaprasertsuk but came back strongly to win 21-4 13-21 21-12.
    Tournament surprise  Wan Ho Son - Korea survived yesterday in  his  semi-finals match against Sho Sasaki,but  today failed to stop home -fan hope  Zhengming Wang and his campaign ended in match lasted 74 minutes. He let slip a golden opportunity to win his second consecutive  title after victory at the Yonex Chinese Taipei Open 2013 when he was beaten 17-21 21-16 21-18 in the men's singles final by  his local opponent.
In the last  mixed doubles final Nan Zhang  and Yunlei Zhao secured 21-18 21-12 win according to expectation over unseeded   Yeon Seong Yoo - Hye Won Eom.
